Summer Academic Programs
SuperCamp's summer academic programs, including both our middle school summer programs and our high school summer programs, have been providing students in the U.S. and abroad with important learning and life skills since 1982. Over 56,000 young people have attended SuperCamp in that time and over five million students worldwide have been positively impacted by SuperCamp's proprietary Quantum Learning methods.
Academic Camps
Our academic camps are unique in that we teach both learning skills and life skills. Students not only gain academic skills that help them across all subject areas, but they also acquire communication, leadership and character development skills that enable them to build their confidence, self-esteem, and motivation while strengthening relationship with the family, with friends and at school.
We employ a proprietary method of teaching and learning in our summer academic programs called Quantum Learning® that SuperCamp co-founder, Bobbi DePorter, and her elite team of educators have developed and refined over the last 30 years.
These brain-based methods, which have evolved from accelerated learning principles, are designed to unlock a student's full potential for learning and personal growth by:
- Creating an optimal learning environment
- Actively involving the whole person in every learning exercise
- Using physical activity, creativity, music, images, color, and other methods designed to actively engage students in their own learning
High School Summer Programs
SuperCamp's 10-day high school summer program is for students entering grades 9-12 in the fall. We call it Senior Forum. We offer these teen academic camps at eight of our nine college locations in 2011. There are a total of 13 high school summer program sessions from which to choose.
Middle School Summer Programs
Junior Forum is SuperCamp's 7-day middle school summer program for students entering grades 6, 7 and 8 in the fall. All of these academic camps are residential summer academic programs, meaning the campers live on-campus at the university where SuperCamp is being held. Similarly, all of our teen academic camps are residential, as well.
